Most richly blessed

These are the words that were found on a piece of paper in the pocket of a Confederate soldier over a hundred years ago...

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve,
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do greater things,
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy,
I was given poverty , that I might be wise.
Iasked for power, that I might have the praise of men,
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,
I was given life that I could enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for--but everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Because of Court,

I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Blessed with a loving, creative and patient Grandson(http://courtrye.com/) who has created this blog for me.
Throughout his life he has brought joy, excitement and a zeal for life to all who have been fortunate enough to be in his circle of relatives and friends.

For our Court, a Hip,Hip, Horaay

Through the generosity of Summer, Brigid and Dan, I was able to attend the season's opening game yesterday at
Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix.. Needless to say, the D-Backs didn't prevail over the Cubs but there are still 151 games left to play!

Through your generosity , our dear friend, Glenn, we were able to attend a D-Back's game with you. We have been fans since that day forward. Thanks for sparking the interest in a fine sport.
