One of many favorite nephews-honey man Rye

Dale Rye runs a honey farm in Renner, South Dakota. His wife, Jill, is the real queen bee.
We are standing in front of a 1951 New Holland baler that I ran several years during the summer when I was teaching in Hills, Minnesota. The farmer's wife gave us a snack when we drove on the property; lunch at 10 am: sumptious dinner at noon; lunch at 3 pm;dinner or supper at night and a snack as you drove off the property. Actually, I ran 2 balers each summer and managed to preserve my girlish figure until of late.
An antiquated baler and an antiquated scribe saved by the vitality of the honey man.
