My friend, Ethel Hardwick, was in two of the numbers on the program this one being the number,"puttin on the ritz'.

Ethel put off her second surgery for colon cancer in order to be in this event so dear to her heart. Two days after the show she went in for the second outpatient surgery. She will begin chemo again in April.

Knowing that she could do the show lifted her spirits and carried her through these difficult times.
