"How often at night, when the heavens are bright

The 2nd verse of Home on the Range contiues:
........have I looked at the glittering stars
And I've stood there amazed
And I asked as I gazed
Does their glory exceed that of ours?

Well, I looked at the skies on May 31st and again lasnt night and lo, and behold...

Once in a blue moon...is a common way of saying not very often, but what exactly is a blue moon?
According to popular defintition, it is the second full moon to occur in a single calendar month

The average interval between full moons is about 29.5 days , whilst the length of an average month is 30.5 days. This makes it unlikely that any given month will contains two full moons, though it does sometimes happen.
On average there will be 41 montlh that have two full moons in every century, so you could say that once in a blue moon actually means once every two and a half years.

Some sources say that in 2007, there is a blue moon in June. Others say that the blue moon actually occurs in May.
Who is right?
Well, you culd see a blue moon in May, June or even July, but it depends on where in the world you llive.

Do you actually know all the words to "Home On the Range"? Would like to hear you sing it sometime.
