LINDA-NURSE PRACTISHIONER

Left to right: LINDA- Jennifer-Jewell-Emily
Front row- My sister, Vivian and Don Helgeson
This was a picture taken at their 25th wedding aniversary. They have since celebrated thier 50th anniversary, but this is about Linda.
Linda has been a nurse in ER for many years in Bemidji, Mn. and has now completed her Master's degree that will give her the Nurse Practishioner desinagation. She completed this work much of it on over the internet courses.
Linda stopped over in Denver years ago when Greg was about 15 years old.I believe that that Linda was about 18 years of age. Somewhere there is a picture of them taken at the 94th Aero squadron, a famous resturant at the airport where you could watch the planes land and listen to the pilot's chatter on the radio.
Linda and Greg were both blonde towheads and could have passed for brother and sister.
Somewhere on this blog there is a story about the 40 and 8. This organization that Don and Vivian belonged raised money and gave scholarships to young nurse candidates. I believe that Linda received one as did their grandaughter , Theresa.
The 40 and 8 was named after the boxcars in France during WWI. These boxcars could hold eight horses or 40 troops. Nuff said.
GOD SPEED LINDA

Congratulations, Linda! What an honorable profession you have chosen!
My grandson is in nursing school, and will be certified this summer to work in the ER.
