The New Blogger
Hello Papa,
I'm sorry to hear that you have been struggling with the blogger thing and also that you're a bit sick right now. I've typed out some instructions to help you back into blogger and you can call me at my new cell number (650) 930-0342 anytime or visit www.courtrye.com for the rest of my info :)
Okay, to get into Glenndeavour go to www.blogger.com and click on the "New Blogger" button at the top (it's the one on the left - I upgraded your account to help make it easier to login so now you are on the new blogger system). Once you are at the login screen type the username: glenn.rye and use the same password as before. You will notice that this new username is also the email address I set up for you through www.gmail.com.
As stated above, I made you a gmail account with the name glenn.rye which means people can email you now at glenn.rye (at) gmail.com (I wrote it this way without the @ symbol to keep you from getting spam mail in the future but the real email does use the @ symbol and there are no spaces). If you ever want to use this email, you can login with username: glenn.rye and the same password as you have always used for blogger. Gmail is easy to use and has a great search tool so you can keep track of email. Just let me know if you have any problems and I can help you. In the mean time, go check out Blogger or Gmail and have some fun! You can also check out my new blog at www.theactivelife.blogspot.com
So back to Blogger, once you are in you can click on your blog and edit entries or create new posts (just like before). Blogger recently updated and has some new features but it should work just the same for you. In case you forgot how to make posts just click the "edit" button on one of your old posts and see how it is layed out. You can easily add pictures by clicking the image icon and all of our older rye family photos can be found at this link www.ryefamily.net/memory-lane but if you ever get new photos you can upload them directly in blogger and it is pretty easy, just locate the image on your computer and click upload instead of filling in the link, but as I said before just email or call me and I will try to help if you have trouble. You might also notice a new bar at the top of the page above your blog. This bar provides search functionality (so you can search all of the entries in your blog) and even login right from the "login" button on the bar! Good luck with this! And if you get the chance, check out our new site called Condo Rooster for a Maui Vacation Rental, it has built in Google Maps, javascript hover effects, and even AJAX (which is all really hi tech and useful).
I also wanted to post an updated picture, this was taken for my ID recently and I think it's a decent shot.
