Fine weather-rain in evening

Fine weather- We were hauling hay and M.

Nels and Gullik Opheim went Micheal- Took them to Valley Springs in the morning.

Cloudy weather in the morning-We hayed in the afternoon-rain in eve.

Fine weather-plowed in the corn.

Sunday- fine weather-we stayed home all day-Gullik Sundem was here.

Very warm weatherI mowed hay all day.Clara Sundem was here.

Fine weather- I hauled a load of hay,pm. rained in eve.

Warm weather-we went to cax and got his bullrake

Fine weather-picked weeds in the cornfield

Birthdays- Dan and Randy Rye


Today, July 12th is the 48th birthday of Daniel Gene Rye. Randy Lee Rye's bithday was on June 17th. Randy turned 49 this yearI will honor both of their birthdays here today.

They are pictured here taking my sister, Opal Nelson Rye across Lake Loveland sometime in the 1970's.
Daniel is in the front of the canoe and Randy is in the back of the canoe.
Daniel is celebrating his birthday on his vessel in Courtenay, Victoria Island, British Columbia along wtih Brigid and Summer. Randy celebrated his birthday touring Europe with his children, My Granddaughter and Court.

My words to both of them:From your blessed arrival in Worthington,Mn.(Randy) and Riverside, Ca.(Dan) to your life's work in Colorado(Randy), Arizona( Dan);
Wherever you have roamed you have brough joy, happiness, love, respect and generosity to all who have been fortunate enough to be in your sphere of influence.

July diary,1907 of Gulllik Nelson Rye

July 1-I plowed in the corn- we had a horse race in the eve.

July 2- very busy with haying-warm weather-maybe storm in eve.

Julu 3-warm weather-I plowed in the potatoes and put in a load of hay.

July 4-Warm weather- spent the day in Beaver Creek riding the merry go round.

July5-Warm weather-I was quite tired after the 4th-plowed in the corn.

July 6-Warm weather-I plowed in the corn all day.

July 7-Sunday-Very warm weather-I an Henry went over to H. Sundem-back at eve.

July 8-Very warm weather-I plowed in the corn all day,

July 9-Fine weather-I plowed in the corn and mowed hay.

July 10-Very warm weather-I plowed corn andmowed hay.

July 11-Very fine weather-I mowed hay and hauled a load of hay after lunch.

Jully 12- I plowed in teh morning-I started haying in the pm.Sam
Sundem with me.

July 13-Warm weather-haying all day -rain in eve.

July 14- Sunday- Brother Peter and Ole Hagen came here -stayed all night because we had bad weather.
